The Cartilage Restoration Center at RushIf you suffer from joint pain, you're not alone. Cartilage injuries affect an estimated two million Americans each year. These painful, debilitating injuries affect people of all ages, but unfortunately often occur in patients considered too young to undergo joint replacement surgery. In the past, many cartilage injuries were treated ineffectively: traditional surgery offered limited and short-term relief. That's why orthopaedic surgeons at Rush developed the Cartilage Restoration Center, one of the first centers of its kind in the U.S. Through collaboration and research—and with decades of experience—doctors at Rush are leading the way in the development of more effective, more reliable treatments for damaged cartilage.
